Public Safety:
 

Every resident deserves to feel safe in their own community. Public safety must remain one of Chilliwack’s highest priorities, and that means ensuring our police, fire, and ambulance services have the resources they need to respond quickly and effectively. We also need strong advocacy with provincial and federal partners for tougher laws, meaningful sentencing, and better supports for people facing addiction and mental health challenges. We cannot accept the status quo when families are asking for safer streets, stronger accountability, and a community where compassion and security go hand in hand. I am committed to doing my part so our children, grandchildren, seniors, businesses, and neighbourhoods can feel safe, supported, and proud to call Chilliwack home.

Seniors:
 

Our seniors helped build this community, and they deserve to age here with dignity, security, and respect. They raised families, supported local businesses, served through non-profit, faith-based, and volunteer organizations, and helped shape the community we are proud to call home. But too many seniors are being squeezed by rising costs while living on fixed incomes. They should not have to choose between safe housing, healthy food, transportation, recreation, or the care they need. That is why I will keep pushing for more affordable seniors housing, better support for aging in place, and stronger community connections that help seniors stay active, independent, and included. We owe it to the people who built our community to make sure they are never left behind.

Taxation:
 

As the cost of living continues to rise, families and seniors—especially those on fixed incomes—are being asked to make difficult choices. City Council must apply that same discipline by meeting community needs within budget and keeping taxes as low as responsibly possible. That is why Council’s commitment to avoiding debt and following a “save then spend” approach for capital projects matters. Before asking taxpayers for more, Council should continue to look first for internal efficiencies, reduce waste, and expect every department to manage public funds with care. I am proud that our city has maintained one of the lowest tax rates in the Lower Mainland and I believe we must protect that record while making the necessary investments to keep our community strong and liveable.

Agriculture:
 

Agriculture accounts for approximately 30% of Chilliwack's economic activity and encompasses 67% of the city's land base. Yet local farmers face growing challenges, including rising land prices, increasing feed and distribution costs, and extreme weather. As a community, we need to do more to support our local farmers. Whether it is beef, poultry, pork, dairy, or fresh produce, choosing locally grown products helps strengthen our economy and enhance food security. I will continue fighting to put Chilliwack farmers first and protect our agricultural future.

Our Local Economy:
 

A strong local economy is the backbone of quality of life in Chilliwack. It is our responsibility to keep Chilliwack business-friendly by keeping taxes as low as possible, streamlining processes, and avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy. Please shop local: you are supporting families, sports teams, nonprofits, and business owners who have put their hearts and souls into building their dreams.

Parks and Recreation:
 

Chilliwack is fortunate to enjoy a diverse network of parks, trails, and recreation facilities. These amenities are the result of thoughtful planning and strategic investment. I will continue to support responsible investments that protect and enhance these valued assets while ensuring we meet the needs of current and future residents.

The Environment:
 

Protecting Chilliwack’s environment must remain a priority as our community grows. Our rivers, farmland, and natural spaces are essential to our quality of life. I am committed to protecting these assets through responsible stewardship and thoughtful planning that preserves green spaces and natural habitats for future generations.

Our greatest strength lies in the diversity of our residents. I am dedicated to fostering a community where every voice is heard and every perspective is valued. True progress happens when we respect our differences and work together to ensure that everyone in Chilliwack feels a genuine sense of belonging. I will always strive to make sure our local government is accessible, welcoming, and reflective of all the people who make our city such a wonderful place to live, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate in the decisions that shape our shared future.
